The recommended dimensions for Twitter profile pictures is 400×400 pixels. The profile picture must be either a JPEG, GIF, or PNG file format and less than 2MB in file size.
Twitter header size (banner size)
The correct Twitter header size is 1500 x 500 pixels. Just like with the above, Twitter header images must be either a JPEG or PNG.
