Do you want to be more productive when it comes to social media marketing? 🤔
Do you find Google Chrome Extensions quite handy at times? 🤔
If so, that’s good news! In this article, we’re covering the best Google Chrome Extensions for social media marketers. ✅
Google Chrome Extensions for Social Media Marketers
#1 Grammarly
Grammarly is by far my favourite Google Chrome Extension. It’s extremely handy and I guarantee it’ll save you plenty of time and improve your grammar! 😉 Once you’ve installed the free Google Chrome Extension, Grammarly will make sure all your messages, documents, and social media posts are clear, mistake-free, and impactful. It works for most if not all websites where you can input text, including G Mail.
As a bonus, Grammarly also gives you the option to create and store all of your documents in their online editor. The Chrome Extension also offers a premium version with more features such as detecting plagiarism, receive vocabulary enhancement suggestions and plenty more.
#2 Momentum
The Momentum Google Chrome Extension is very handy and also adds a spark of inspiration to your tab. Each time you open a New Tab, the extension displays a personal dashboard that features a to-do list, weather information, daily focus and a stunning inspiring photo with a quote that gets updated every day.
This Google Chrome Extension is perfect for eliminating distractions and beating procrastination with a reminder of your focus for the day on every new tab.
#3 Pushbullet
The Pushbullet Google Chrome Extension comes in super handy, especially if you need to send a link, high-quality image, file or some text to your phone or vice versa, this extension does exactly that. You can also send items straight to another colleague. You might not use it every day but it sure will come in very handy at times! No more searching through your emails to find the image or text you sent yourself.
#4 Zest
We’ve listed the Zest Google Chrome Extension many times on SkillsLab, simply because it’s just extremely handy and such a fantastic idea. For those that aren’t aware what Zest is, it’s a content stream full of marketing content that’s suggested from its users. However, rather than the team at Zest just accepting any old content, it goes through a review process where ~1% of suggested content gets approved.
That alone tells you the content will be high-quality and you’re bound to sharpen your knowledge frequently.
Getting started is super simple, just head on over to their Chrome Extension page and install the extension. For recommended content and to submit articles for review, you’ll need to log in with your LinkedIn.
#5Â RiteTag
This Google Chrome Extension comes in pretty handy when it comes to writing social messaging. The RiteTag extension gives you hashtag suggestions for images and texts on most sites, particularly handy for Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and LinkedIn.
RiteTag also works with social media scheduling tools such as Buffer and Hootsuite. With the help of this extension, you can finally stop guessing what hashtags to use, and start getting more engagement and visibility.
#6Â Figure it Out
If you’re working alongside or have clients in different time zones, this Google Chrome Extension will be very useful. Figure it Out allows you to add up to ten time zones of your choice in a New Tab. This is very handy for making it easy to schedule meetings, connecting with family and friends and even help you beat jetlag.
Like the sound of this extension but not sure if you want to replace your default New Tab? Check out their web-based app here.
#7 Google Page Analytics
Another favourite Google Chrome Extension of mine is the Google Page Analytics extension. It’s very handy.
The Page Analytics Extension allows you to see how customers are interacting with your website pages. When viewing a web page which you have Google Analytics access, you’ll be able to see various metrics such as; Pageviews, Unique Pageviews, Avg time on page, Bounce Rate and the %Exit, real-time visitors and lastly in-page click analysis to find out where your users click on each page.
#8 1Password
Security is very important when it comes to social media marketers. Passwords and specific tool logins must be secured away safely. The 1Password extension comes in super handy allowing you to share account access to team members without showing the password. You’re also able to auto-login by visiting the login page and then utilising the 1Password extension.
When on a social profile or website that 1Password has access to, it’ll show a green marker on the icon which you can then click and log in with the stored details.
#9Â HashTest
HashTest is similar to RiteTag, but this extension gives you real-time hashtag testing to discover what hashtags are worth using. It works for the majority of social media networks, such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
Over to you…
These are our favourite Google Chrome Extensions at the moment. We’re always looking to test out new ones and discover what else is on the market. We’d love to know your thoughts on these and what other Chrome Extensions you’re currently using!
